Justice Satish Chandra Sharma sworn in as new Chief Justice of Telangana High CourtJustice Satish Chandra Sharma has been sworn in as the new Chief Justice of the Telangana High Court on Monday. Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan administered the oath of office to Justice Satish Chandra Sharma at a ceremony held at the Raj Bhavan. Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao, Speaker of the state Legislative Assembly Pocharam Srinivasa Reddy, Chairman of the Legislative Council Bhupal Reddy, ministers, MPs, Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar and several top bureaucrats attended the event and congratulated the new Chief Justice.

Justice Satish Chandra Sharma, the fourth Chief Justice of Telangana High Court since its establishment on January 1, 2019, has been appointed by President Ram Nath Kovind following the transfer of the ad-hoc CJ Justice MSR Ramachandra Rao to the Punjab-Haryana High Court.

Justice Hima Kohli, who was the CJ of Telangana High Court has been appointed as Supreme Court Judge on August 31.

Justice Satish Chandra Sharma was serving as the interim Chief Justice of the Karnataka High Court before being appointed as the new Chief Justice of the Telangana High Court.

Justice TB Radhakrishnan was the first Chief Justice of Telangana High Court, succeeded by Justice RS Chouhan and Justice Hima Kohli.
